Feeling Anxious, shitty and depressed, you’re a mess! What’s next?
The art of getting out of a bad state…
It’s really one of the most important skills to have
when you’re finding yourself between a rock
and a hard place, or simply feeling shitty and stuck.
And don’t we know with anxiety often comes this
depression feeling and state.
This depression and shitty feeling can not only drag you down,
but keep you stuck… stopping you from moving
forward and progressing.
So what to do about it?
This is so simple you’ll want to slap me!
P.S. I’m still new to video and so here
are some REALLY IMPORTANT points I didn’t cover that need to be said:
-Be a student of you: When you find yourself in a shitty state where you’re
not able to get moving, go back in your mind trying to find when and how
it started, and see how you got there.
The more you do this, becoming a student of yourself, the more you will catch
yourself if and when you go into the stuck shitty state. And the better
you are at realizing when this happens, the more you’ll be able to stop it and move on.
-Some other suggestions of things you can do
to break and get out of your bad state:
- Go outside with your dog.
- Take a walk.
- Have your favorite comedy tv shows on hand,
and even if you only watch a few minutes
and it break your bad state, it’ll have done it’s job.
- Do some stetching, exercise, shoot some hoop,
whatever you like to do for physical activity.
- Stuck in a rut in front of your computer? Before doing any
of those other activity i usually play a song from a playlist
i created, that contains songs that inspire me or move me
positively in some ways. Then do one of those other activities.
Here again you want to be a student of yourself.
Try various things, and you will find some things seem to help you
“pop out” of that bad stuck state better and more quickly than others.
You then simply do more of those things whenever you feel yourself
going into shitty, stuck or lazy “mode”.
P.S. The goal here is not to try and go from shitty and stuck to feeling SUPER!
You simply want to stop the cycle and break your state. All you’re looking for a
is a simple shift in how you feel and in your focus.

And WAYYYYYYY more important than trying to change how you’re feeling,
the most important goal is that however you break your state
and however you then feel, ***it gets you moving.***
That’s the key.
You could do something that help you break your
bad stuck state and you may not feel that much better,
but you get off your derriere and do whatever you have to do.
On the other hand, you could do something that make you feel better but
you’re not getting yourself moving and doing anything and… while it’s better
to feel better, it needs to help you get moving again. Otherwise
you’ll still be stuck. Just not feeling bad anymore.
Yes it is simple and obvious. But as you know some of the
most powerful things are the simplest.
And results comes not from knowing, but doing.
And there’s nothing worse than realizing you wated another week feeling
bad and not really moving in the direction you want to move into in your life.
You can either say this is too simple and do nothing about it, or you can decide to
become a student of yourself, figure out what helps you pop out of those bad states
and do those things… taking control of your life instead of letting the boat
ride you wherever the waves take you…
