Before you find out just how much you can get away
with in public, let’s go into why I want to show you this…
People, especially anxiety sufferers, worry a lot about making mistakes
or looking like a fool in public. And How *Disastrous* it could be.
Making mistakes in public, looking like a fool, and fearing the huge
embarrassment of their public behavior or mistakes.
And behind this fear of making mistakes and looking like a fool often is something else:
A sort of either concious or unconcious feeling that others are better or
above you in some way, and kinda looking down on you, as you see yourself
inferior in some way. At least that’s a feeling often experienced.
What I find so helpful is watching videos of people either pulling
pranks, being really different, or simply being completely
free and spontaneous in public.
Like this Shocking video i just stumbled on – But I Must
>>Warning: SEE How Much You Can REALLY Get away with…<<
I find that watching videos like this in public settings
helps in 2 specific ways:
1- It shows, as we watch as a third party observer, just how much you
can get away with in public through your behavior… which makes you realize
how your much more “normal” and average behavior really won’t make people react
and they just won’t care.
So really no need to be so self-concious about every little
action you take in public.
2- I also find that it allows you to observe things as they really are,
without having your judgment being tempered through your experience of anxiety.
As a third party neutral observer, you look at people in those
public videos differently.
As an anxiety sufferer going out in public you feel more like a “me VS them”,
feeling more “threatened”, and a of feeling of them being better,
stronger, superior in some way, probably judgmental about you, and
you feeling a bit weak.
But when you watch these youtube videos of people in public, you can get a completely
different feeling about people in general.
Feeling more equal, seing them more for who they are and not feeling so threatened
and inferior to them. In fact you can often sense of other people’s insecurity. How’s
that for a change!?
You’re not the little weak person with all other people being so perfect and
strong. You actuallyfeel more equal to others and you can see they’not perfect
and have their own issues, just like you. Making you even more at ease
with the idea you can be far from perfect and be like everyone else there.
And won’t look like a fool.
It can help remove a lot of the unrealistic pressure you put on yourself.
And some videos are entertaining too!
Anyway, I highly recommend that if you do stumble on interesting youtube channels
and videos where you see a lot of vlogging in public and people interactions,
to keep an eye for those. Because they really help you open and expand your
mind about people, social and public situations. And your narrow unrealistic view
of how you should be in public changes.

P.P.S. I know watching online videos will not completely
change your situation and free you from all your anxiety.
There’s a lot more to it than that. Anxiety is an emotional
problem that needs to be solved on that same emotional level.
But it has helped me in expanding how I view groups of people
in public and I think it can be helpful to many other people,
It shows you just how much room and freedom you have in expressing yourself
in public without getting anywhere near the (or even any) reaction you imagine
you may be getting by being “slightly different” or “slightly wrong”.
Alright, until next time…
